ARIES — A baby born between March 21 and April 20, more or less, is an Aries.  Babies get showers, more or less.  Maybe they should get umbrellas.

ABC — One advantage of moving from New York to Los Angeles is that I never had to relearn the channels of the major TV networks.  Channel 2 is CBS, 4 is NBC, and 7 is ABC.  But all the games are now three hours earlier.  (Oh, Fox.  Is that “major”?)

ETE — If you have “an” issue with the “An interval?” clue, understand that “an” is French for “year.”

At times answers in crosswords pose interesting juxtapositions.  You may wonder if the constructor intended something.  For example, MOHEL beside T-PAIN on top of PRIVATE DICK.  Well, I just noticed that right now.  It was entirely accidental.  Really.

The four anagrams in Puzzle B were not accidental.  But the doubling up on the clues was an unexpected find at the very end of making the puzzle.  I like when that happens.
